Baby Birds

Cliff swallows rarely stay still long enough to get a good picture of them, but I managed to get this one right before it flew out of its nest.

Later, when I was using my flash, I heard chirping form one of the nests and discovered that the baby swallows seemed to be attracted to the flash. They would chirp and open their mouths to be fed when the flash went off.

I found this baby Northern Mockingbird in a tree in Las Vegas. I've never seen so many mockingbirds in one place before!

I saw this crow a few days before I got a picture of it. It was hopping around the backyard and couldn't fly more than a few feet. The crow's mother was flying around and cawing at it from the treetops. Today, when I got the picture through my window, it was able to fly.

Here's a baby California Quail.
